Who we are

My Job Goblin is operated by Charlie Fay, trading as My Job Goblin, based in Barcelona, Spain. We are the data controller for information you provide when using My Job Goblin. Contact: hello@myjobgoblin.com

What data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed)
• Business data: business name, address, phone, bank details you enter
• Job data: quotes, invoices, expenses, contacts, and job records you create
• Payment data: subscription status and billing history (via Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, error logs

How we use your data

Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is Contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR) — processing is necessary to provide the service you signed up for. Where we have a legal obligation (e.g. tax record-keeping), we rely on Legal Obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

• To provide and improve the My Job Goblin service
• To process your subscription payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (invoice confirmations, receipts)
• To respond to support requests
• To comply with legal obligations

Your customers' data

When you add customers and send quotes or invoices through Job Goblin, you are acting as the data controller for your customers' personal data (names, addresses, emails). You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process that data and for complying with UK GDPR in your customer relationships.

Third-party services

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU data centres)
• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Lovable (AI Gateway) / Google (Gemini models) — AI features (job descriptions, pricing suggestions). Job data is sent via the Lovable AI Gateway to Google Gemini to generate AI responses and is not used to train models.
• Cloudflare — hosting and CDN
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g. financial records for 6 years under UK tax law).

My Job Goblin uses essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We will notify you by email of any material changes to this policy. Continued use of My Job Goblin after changes are notified constitutes acceptance.
